Indian Creek Hatchery Fall Chinook Salmon Smolts Released into the Rogue River – 2024
In 2024, Indian Creek Hatchery celebrated the release of thousands of fall Chinook salmon smolts into the Rogue River — a key moment in the hatchery’s work to strengthen local salmon runs. Carefully raised from eggs to ocean-ready juveniles, these smolts represent the success of months of volunteer dedication, habitat care, and collaboration with ODFW’s STEP program and Curry Anadromous Fishermen. Each release supports the hatchery’s enduring mission: to sustain healthy salmon populations and ensure their return to the Rogue River for generations to come.
