There will be 2 more ponding dates after the first, each being a week apart.
Join us for Ponding Day — an important milestone in the salmon life cycle. During this event, newly hatched Chinook salmon fry are carefully transferred from indoor incubation trays into outdoor raceways, where they begin active feeding and growth.
This hands-on volunteer opportunity marks the official start of the rearing season and is a critical step in preparing the next generation of Rogue River salmon.
